Traditional Kashmiri beads are also known as Sri Nagar beads or Bollywood beads and come from the Kashmir region in India.
Kashmiri beads have a long history, with generations of craftsmen passing down their art form. Originally created as an alternative to real gemstone jewellery, they were traditionally made from ground marble powder and natural resins formed around a metal core.
A slow and time consuming technique, each handcrafted bead retains it unique and individual artistic impression so they are never quite perfect. And there lies their charm!
